


In a comment on some post in this sub the other day, someone suggested using a pepper end instead of a cabbage leaf for holding fermenting veg down. Freaking revolutionary! It holds in place very tightly in the jars I use, plus, when placed upside-down with the stem removed, the shape of it vents air perfectly.
